We remember fondly Arnold Greene, who was a long time Dunster Beach Chalet owner & family friend.   Arnold died on 7th November 2023 and a celebration of his life was held at St Deny's Church in Kirkby La Thorpe near Sleaford on 25th November 2023.   

Arnold grew up in Ealing not far from the Hallett Family, and his mother was a good friend to Mrs FKE Hallett - Howards mother  - "Granny" to the 8 children.   

"Granny" lived in Ealing with the family and Mrs Green would often give her a lift to Dunster Beach from Ealing when she (Granny) stayed there each summer. 

The Greene's family chalet was 123, only some 14 chalets along from 137, and for a while they also owned chalet 135.  

In recent years Arnold and Richard saw a great deal of each other.   They were toegther on the Board of Dunster Beach Holidays for a while, and Richard would call in regularly to the family home when travelling up and down the A1 for work, from which Kirkby La Thorpe was only a short (and welcome!) detour.
